"I've always been a little on the shy side, but after my teenage years I made a concious effort to feel more comfortable around people.  It was going okay until someone I work with told me I blush in awkward situations.  THANKS VERY MUCH!  After that I couldn't stop thinking about it.  I'd get myself so worked up that the anxiety would make me go red even if someone said Hello to me!  I tried physcoanalysis, hypnotherapy, and spent weeks reading up on social phobia.  This all helped me, but it also taught me the only way to get over my fears was to do what frightend me most.  I decided I had to get used to being centre of attention.  I searched for public speaking courses but the ones I found where all expensive and more focused toward business presentations.  I kept looking for something that concentrated more on self esteem and eventually found Confidence Lab.

The weekend was split into different workshops that taught us to think and act differently.  The way it was structured and having the different presenters on rotation made it both fun and interesting from start to finish.  I noticed a difference in myself after every workshop.  Anxiety turned into nervousness until I actually felt excited at the opportunity to improve myself by performing in front of others.  It's amazing to see how easy it is to change negative patterns.  You just have to force yourself to try.

Truelly life changing stuff.  I don't think there is anyone how wouldn't benifit from the course.  Whether you've got a social phobia, or are just looking to give your life a kick start.  It may seem like a lot of money to spend on one weekend, but think of it as holiday.  Only with this holiday you won't go home with a healthy tan that will fade within a month, you'll go home with a healthy mind which will stay with you forever. 

I meet some amazing people.  From the Confidence Lab team - Nabeela, Tim and Dave who have all overcome their challenges and used the experience to help others, to the different candidates with their own improvements to make.  I miss you all already. 

It sounds cliche but after Confidence Lab, every tomorrow really will be the first day of the rest of your life.  It's your decision to live it or survive it.
